This "Famous American Stars" Series record
includes an open-end interview about The Monkey's Uncle
with Annette Funicello on side one. The record opens with
a sample of the title song featuring Annette and The Beach
Boys. There are blank sections that proceed Annette's answers,
so that radio announcers may insert their questions following a
script. The
entire title song plays after a question about the song is
asked, followed by a few more questions. Side
two includes a similar program for a non-Disney property.
During the interview, Shirley Burden discusses his book, Behold
Thy Mother. The
record was originally offered for free at a local Buena Vista
office, as shown in the campaign press book (see page 3 below.) Matrix

Annette Funicello was born on October 22, 1942 in Utica, New
York and died on April 8, 2013 in Bakersfield, California.
To Disney fans, Annette is best known as one of the original
Mouseketeers on the Disney television show The Mickey
Mouse Club, that first aired in October of 1955. In
1958, she starred in her own serial, Annette, that
ran for a total of 19 episodes as part of final season of The Mickey Mouse
Club. In the show, Annette played a
young farm girl transitioning to an upper-class neighborhood.

Uncle is a Disney live-action film that premiered in theaters during
June of 1965 with a running time of 91 minutes. The film is a
sequel to The Misadventures of Merlin Jones, released the year
prior.
