Record Comments:  SHOW'N TELL picturesound program records were designed to be played on a special toy record player produced by General Electric that contains a built-in speaker and slide viewer that is shaped like a television set.  The record and slide strip come housed in a cardboard sleeve that opens like a book. There is no additional text on the back of the front cover.  The record and slide pocket side lists operating instructions.

Although the records will play on a standard record player, when viewed on the SHOW'N TELL player, the slides will automatically advance to match the story narration.  This record is part of a later series of Disney programs and includes Mickey And The Beanstalk with narration and sound effects on side one.  Side two includes the song Make-Believe Places.

Matrix Number:  51224A-2B J / 51224B-1A J

Subject Notes:  Fun And Fancy Free is Disney's 9th animated feature and premiered in theaters during September of 1947.  It's also the 4th packaged film that the studio produced in the 1940s, in order to save money during World World II.  The film includes two stories, Bongo and Mickey And The Beanstalk, connected together with additional production and narration by Edgar Bergen.  The running time is approximately 73 minutes.
