This record was
issued with two different covers. The first issue bares the
title Darlene Of The Teens with a gold background
and shows Darlene in front of a large microphone with illustrations
of teens dancing. The second issue was re-titled Top
Tunes Of The '50's - Darlene Gillespie Sings TV
Favorites with new artwork that has a mostly black background and shows five
photos of Darlene. The contents of both records are identical
and include the same catalog number. In
April of 2020, Jasmine Records issued a CD entitled Hollywood
Princesses that includes three tracks from this album, Sittin'
In The Balcony, Ninety-Nine
Ways and Teen-age
Crush. Darlene's non-album tracks Loddy Doddy Doo
and Porcupine from Buena Vista single F-330 and I Loved, I Laughed, I Cried
and Ring The Bell, Beat The Drum from Coral Records
single 9-62178 are also included, for a total of seven Darlene
songs on the CD.

was born on April 8, 1941 in Montreal, Canada and is
best known as one of the original Mouseketeers on the Disney
television show The Mickey Mouse Club that first
aired in October of 1955.
